The Huawei Mate 50 Pro finally arrives in France, and if he was the new champion of photography?

Huawei has finally launched its new high-end Mate 50 Pro smartphone in France. On the program, an exceptional photo part, but no 5G, a high price, and Google services still absent.

After the Mate 50E, Mate 50, Mate 50 5S Porsche Edition and Mate 50 Pro launched in China in early September, the manufacturer was expected to launch its smartphones in Europe in the following weeks. Eventually it took wait almost 2 months before seeing the Pro model arrive with usbecause it is the only version available from us.

Which technical sheet for the Huawei Mate 50 Pro?

In terms of technical characteristics, the European Huawei Mate 50 Pro is identical to the Chinese model. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, supported by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

At the front, there is a 6.74-inch 120 Hz QHD+ (2616 x 1212 pixels) OLED display with a large notch, which houses advanced face unlock features. The smartphone does not offer the biggest battery that we have seen, since it is satisfied with 4700mAh with the 66W wired fast chargingand the 50W fast wireless charging.

In terms of photography, the Huawei Mate 50 Pro was recently voted the best photophone by DXOMARK experts. He relies on three cameras, including a 50 MP IMX766 RYYB main sensora 12 MP ultra-wide-angle IMX688 sensor as well as a 64 MP OV64B periscope offering 3.5X optical zoom, and digital up to 200X. Selfies are provided by a 13 MP sensor.

Price and availability

Unlike China, the Huawei Mate 50 Pro is only available from us in one configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The price is on par with most of the most premium competitors, sinceyou will have to pay 1199 euros to offer it to you. However, Huawei offers a reduction of 200 euros on its official website until December 31, 2022. Only two colors are offered: black and silver.

Obviously, who says device signed Huawei says American sanctions. The smartphone is therefore devoid of 5G, and does not come with Google services. Alternatives will therefore have to be found.
