The Little Mermaid: the live action remake has a release date

We’ve seen her on the beach, in some shots stolen on set, and now we know when we’ll be able to see The little Mermaid, the remake in live action signed by Disney, on the big screen, thanks to the official announcement of the exit date of the film.

The Little Mermaid has a (new) release date

The date to be marked on the calendar is that of May 26, 2023, when the film directed by Rob Marshall will land (hoping that it does not beach sooner than expected) in the halls. In short, not exactly a release date around the corner and definitely late compared to the first launch window that was set for 2022.

With Halle Bailey, who will play Ariel in the film, are also present in the cast Jonah Hauer-King as the prince, Melissa McCarthy in the shoes of the very bad Ursula And Javier Bardem for that of King Triton. Awkwafina Sara Scuttle, Jacob Tremblay Sara Flounder And Daveed Diggs will give the voice to Sebastian.

Among the producers of the film figure Lin-Manuel Miranda, who we know will also compose the songs of the film (many of which will be taken from the original cartoon of the 90s) along with Alan Menken. Rob Marshall, Marc Platt And John DeLuca they will produce the film together with Miranda.

The film was mainly shot in Sardinia and the only unofficial image comes from the Sardinian beaches, published through Halle Bailey’s social account.
