The most comprehensive auction of vintage Apple products

Auction Apple products

One of the things that Apple has that other companies lack is that products from 30 or 40 years ago are worth much more than a last generation Mac Pro can be worth. Taking into account that we are talking about technological devices, it is something exceptional, because it is rare for them to work and if they do work, it is difficult to create something with them today, with how advanced other devices are. However, what is bought is history and therefore is highly valued. And a piece of that history is now up for auction and we can say that It is one of the auctions with the most Apple content.

A new auction this March that we are about to launch will feature a collection of more than 500 Mac computers and other Apple products spanning more than 45 years. Leading the event, Julien’s Auctions, titles the event “The Hanspeter Luzi Vintage Apple Archive” and features an extensive collection of Apple products that will be offered at auction for the first time. The Luzi family offers the public a range of products from 1977 to 2008. We can find almost all the devices, but an Apple II Plus computer stands out, without a doubt. The second model in the series Apple II, produced from 1979 to 1982, it made computers accessible to a broader audience, as the Apple I series focused more on a more specific audience.

This Apple II Plus includes a monitor, two disk drives, a printer, a pair of game paddles, various cables and connector parts, and a Monitor II user’s manual. It has an estimated value between 300 to 500 dollars. Another worthwhile item in the auction is an original Macintosh computer that was later renamed Macintosh 128K. Steve Jobs presented it at Apple’s annual meeting of shareholders on January 24, 1984, with an estimated value of between $200 and $300.

We could continue describing each product one by one, but we believe that it is best that you take a look for yourself.
