The new Call of Duty will be presented at the beginning of August, we will tell you everything we know

The Call of Duty edition for 2023 is still surrounded by an important aura of mystery, and it is still not clear what scenario this new installment will adopt or on what historical moment it will be based. Its presentation date has not been confirmed either, but thanks to new information that comes from a fairly reliable source can we shed a little light on all those issues.

Activision Blizzard is expected to present its new installment of the Call of Duty franchise on August 1, a date that will not coincide with the launch date. This means that we will discover the first keys to the game at the beginning of August, but that its release will not take place until several weeks later. It is clear that fans of the franchise will have to be patient.

Regarding the setting of the game, everything seems to indicate that it will follow the bases of Modern Warfare 2, which means that it will be located in the Contemporary Age, that is, in the present. If this is confirmed, we will be facing a clear abandonment of the classic trips to the past that this franchise has made on more than one occasion, and also of its adventures in the more or less near future.

We also know from various sources that Sledgehammer Games are responsible for the development of this new Call of Duty, and that will be presented in a independent event. It will be interesting to see if this new installment offers exclusive benefits to PlayStation players again. This will be more important than ever because of the well-known controversy between Sony and Microsoft over the latter’s attempt to buy Activision Blizzard.

Call of Duty 2023 Beta Start and Release Date

The first beta of Call of Duty 2023 could take place at early October 2023, and would be exclusive to PS4 and PS5. A new beta will take place in mid-October that will include both Sony consoles, and will add Xbox One, Xbox Series XS and PC. PS4 and PS5 users would enjoy two betas.

If this is confirmed we will see, once again, the classic “first on PlayStation” that has been characterizing the Call of Duty franchise in recent years. It is a small privilege that, as I have told you before, has also been accompanied by exclusive content on more than one occasion.

As far as the release of the game is concerned, it seems that this would occur on November 10, 2023, a date that makes sense and that fits perfectly with what we have seen in previous installments. Without going any further, Call of Duty Modern Warfare II hit the market on October 28, 2022, so the difference between it and the new 2023 installment would be minimal.

What requirements will Call of Duty 2023 have on PC?

This installment is going to be an intergenerational transition title that will reach both Xbox One and PS4, and also PS5, Xbox Series XS and PC. This gives us an idea of where will your requirements moves, and I think that in the end they will be very similar, or maybe even identical, to those of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II.
