As you may know, MWC 2023 opened in Barcelona on February 27. The opportunity for us to unveil the new products to come on the market, such as these first prototypes of smartphones and PCs with roll-up screens from Lenovo.

But this time we are going to talk about Realme. Indeed, the Chinese brand returned to the front of the stage this Tuesday, February 28, 2023 to present the Realme GT3its brand new smartphone.

The Realme GT3 is presented as the version dedicated to the international market of the Realme GT Neo 5 240W, a device reserved for Chinese territory and launched at the end of 2022. Unsurprisingly, the Realme GT3 takes the technical data sheet of the GT Neo 5 to the letterstarting with the integration of 240W fast charging.

Realme GT3, the new king of fast charging

And yes, with the Realme GT3, the manufacturer wants to establish itself as the new king of fast chargingfor years to come”as it achieves the maximum possible charging power under USB Type-C standards.” Thus, Realme promises to recharge the GT3’s 4600 mAh Li-Po battery in just 9 minutes and 30 seconds. And if you are in a hurry, the smartphone will be able to recover 20% of autonomy in just 80 seconds charge, and 50% in 4 minutes.

To offer this revolutionary fast charging technology, the Realme GT relies on three 100W charging chips to achieve 98.5% transfer efficiency during charging. This power comes from a dual GaN (gallium nitride) charger that was already found on Realme’s 150W charger from last year.

12A USB cable and a gigantic vapor chamber

Moreover, this charger comes with the first 12A USB-C cable. To avoid possible overheating, the smartphone is equipped with a massive vapor chamber of 6580 mm². Remember that Samsung has chosen to abandon this technology on its Galaxy S22.

This vapor chamber, which will be responsible for keeping the Realme GT3’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip cool, occupies 61% of the battery. Enough to guarantee acceptable temperatures during fast charging. In addition, Realme promises that this power will not impact battery life. So, it will retain 80% of its initial capacity after 1600 cycles.

To indicate the state of charge of the battery, Realme has allowed itself a little madness by integrating an LED interface on the rear panel. The idea is to inform you of the level of autonomy with a color code, from red to green.
