On the social network Weibo, the famous leaker Digital Chat Station has unveiled renderings ofa future smartphone from Oppo, the Reno 8. If its design tells you something, it’s because it looks a lot like the OnePlus 10 Pro that the Chinese giant launched in France on March 31.

Indeed, the front face is almost identical with a flat rather than curved screen but with a punch in the upper left corner, while at the back we find a very similar photo module with sensors placed in a square. The resemblance is so striking that one might wonder if we have not here one of the first images of the OnePlus 10. It would not be the first time that Oppo and OnePlus, which are part of the same group called BBK Electronics, smartphones with identical designs would come out.

What do we know about the Oppo Reno 8?

According to information from Digital Chat Station, the Oppo Reno 8 will be equipped with a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ definition (2400 x 1080 pixels). This also corresponds to the technical characteristics of the screen of the OnePlus 9 of the previous generation. It would be compatible with a refresh rate of 120 Hzagainst only 90 Hz for the previous generation.

At the rear, the smartphone would bet on a configuration to three cameraswith a 50 MP IMX766 main sensor. It is interesting to note that the rendering of the smartphone reveals a black color identical to that of the OnePlus 10 Pro, which seems to strengthen the links between the two smartphones. Stolen photos had also given us a glimpse of what the OnePlus 10 might have looked like, but it could end up being just a prototype.

Finally, we learn from leaker Yogesh Brar that OnePlus is indeed working on a “classic” OnePlus 10. The latter could also be more powerful than the OnePlus 10 Pro, sinceit would ship a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. The leaker also reveals that the “Ultra” model for which OnePlus had filed patent applications could soon arrive.
