The web series RWBY will have an anime adaptation for Crunchyroll

Almost ten years since its first broadcast, RWBY seems to have reached a new milestone, now confirming its future full anime adaptation with the arrival of RWBY: Ice Queendom, a small spin-off that will largely follow the plot of Rooster Theeth’s original web series. Thus, it is confirmed that it won’t be a rebootsince the original series is still ongoing, but a different way to reach new fans in addition to expanding a little more the history that has already happened for current followers.

Set in the fictional world of Remnant, made up of four kingdoms where magic and science work together to eliminate the invasion of the Creatures of Grimm, the story will primarily center around young Ruby Rose. Although in this case it seems that we will skip the first part of the adventure, the whole anime happening after her instruction and training, and the formation of Team RWBY between volumes 1 to 3 of the original series.

Among the known details, it has already been confirmed that this anime is being produced in collaboration with Shaftthe Japanese animation studio behind the critically acclaimed magical girl anime “Puella Magi Madoka Magica.”

On the other hand, everything points to the one in charge of issuing this new series will be Sony. And it is that according to Anime News Network, Crunchyroll would have published a statement listing the dubbing actors in their two original versions in English and Japanese, also ensuring that both will be released on their service on the same date.

Starting with the English Dubbing Details, the new series will return feature the original cast of RWBYincluding Lindsay Jones as Ruby Rose, Barbara Dunkelman as Yang Xiao Long, Kara Eberle as Weiss Schnee, and Arryn Zech as Blake Belladonna. As for the new voices in Japanese, we will find some seiyuus already known as Saori Hayami as Ruby Rose, Yoko Hikasa as Weiss Schnee, Yu Shimamura as Blake Belladonna, and Ami Koshimizu as Yang Xiao Long.

Furthermore, although the statement is currently missing, having been deleted just minutes after it was posted, the URL of this article shared a crucial detail, pointing to the fact that the series would arrive during this same summer.
