Like the Xbox Game Pass, Sony regularly sorts through the catalog of games available to PS Plus subscribers. When there are entries, there are inevitably departures. And in May 2023, the manufacturer rather had a heavy hand with nearly 40 games deleted as of Monday.
Since June 2022, Sony has been offering gamers a revamped version of Playstation Plus, which is more akin to what Xbox Game Pass can offer. Now available in three distinct formulas, namely Essential, Extra and Premium, the Playstation Plus (in the Extra/Premium version at least) provides access to a vast catalog of PS4 and PS5 games.
And like at Microsoft, Sony regularly sorts through the proposed toy library. In other words, if there are arrivals each month, there are also departures. For this month of May 2023, the manufacturer has been rather generous for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers.
For good reason, they will be able to get their hands on big hits, starting with the exclusive PS5 Rachet & Clank: Rift Apart, the whole Dishonored saga, Watch Dogs: Legion, the independent nugget Humanity or even the latest Tomb Raider rebooted by Crystal. Dynamics.
But unfortunately, Sony has decided to compensate this fine selection with a big cleaning up. And yes, almost a quarantine PS4 games will disappear of the catalog from this Monday, May 15, 2023. In other words, if you have installed one of these titles on your machine, we advise you to keep it or you will no longer be able to access it later (unless you buy it of course).
