They locate in the code the existence of three unknown Mac models

It seems that this data can tip the balance regarding the rumors that are spreading related to the existence of new Mac models or not. We have to keep in mind that there has been everything from the new MacBook Air and Pro to a new Mac Studio model. But the data found refers to Mac desktop models. That is, those that we are not carrying and bringing all day. What can tip the balance is that has been found in code that references Apple’s Find My section.

has been the Twitter user @aaronp613, which corresponds to Nicolás Álvarez, who has detected and posted on social network from Musk, the existence of three new unidentified Mac models. The new identifiers are Mac14,8, Mac14,13 and Mac14,14, and are listed next to Mac14,3 and Mac14,12, which correspond to the identifiers of the latest M2 and M2 Pro models of the Mac mini. The list in Apple’s config file relates to overriding separate monitoring. In other words, it is suggested that these could be desktop Mac models that do not need to be actively tracked through Find My when user separation occurs as in the case of laptops.

It’s not clear exactly what these new Mac models are. You know that Apple now uses broader, more generic identifiers based on “Mac.” But if we add it to what was found in the code and that an update to the Mac Pro is expected, one of the models could be this. Although Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman thinks it won’t be ready to launch at WWDC in June.
The same is true of the Mac Studio, which won’t see an update until the higher-end members of the M3 family of chips are ready. So we will have to be attentive and try to find out which models are referred to in these codes.
