They publish the bases to access the aid of the Digital Kit for freelancers and SMEs

The Bases for granting aid for the self-employed and SMEs of the Digital Kit Program, designed to boost the digitization of the self-employed and small and medium-sized companies in Spain, are already published in the BOE, which also records the dates and the framework in which the calls for different grants will be opened. The first of these, with a budget of 500 million euros, will be published at the beginning of this year, and is designed for SMEs with between 10 and 49 employees.

The program has a total budget of 3,067 million euros for the period between 2021 and 2023, with which it will try to facilitate both the self-employed and SMEs the adoption of digitization solutions in various areas. Among them are the presence on the Internet, electronic commerce, social media management, the digitization of customer relationships, analytics and Business Intelligence, the implementation of electronic invoicing, virtual office tools and services, secure communications. and cybersecurity.

Depending on the type of aid and the number of company employees (freelancers without employees can also access them), companies and professionals will be able to opt for different aid and amounts. Thus, if they have between 10 and 50 employees, they can get grants of up to 12,000 euros. If they have between 3 and 9 employees, they will be able to apply for grants of up to 6,000 euros. Finally, those with less than three employees may request grants of up to 2,000 euros.

Of course, companies and freelancers who want to apply for the aid will have to meet a series of requirements, as stated on the Digital Kit website. Thus, they will have to comply with the regulations of the General Subsidies Law. In addition, both companies and freelancers will have to have the Digital Maturity evaluation, for which they will be able to carry out a diagnostic test through the Acelera Pyme platform.

In addition to requesting the aid, SMEs and the self-employed, as well as other companies that wish to do so, may become “digitizing agents”. That is, ask to become the agents who are in charge of guiding and helping companies and professionals in their journey of digital transformation, for which the Digital Kit Program provides help. To be so, they must meet several requirements, including having reached a minimum turnover in the last two years. They must also register, in a period of time that will begin in a few days, at the Red.es website.
