This new Gmail feature will help you with your Christmas shopping

Just as every little bit Google kills its services that have been forgotten, and that are not profitable for the company, those that are, and are used daily by users, usually receive improvements, novelties and new functions every so often. And, without a doubt, one of the most used Google products is gmail, your email client. That is why, from time to time, Google usually launches news and improvements with which it seeks to make the use of this platform as comfortable as possible, like this novelty that comes to us today.

The information of your shipments, now in Gmail

With the start of the Christmas shopping campaign just around the corner, Google wanted to present the new feature that will arrive in Gmail very soon. With it, it intends that users can make their purchases online in a much easier and simpler way, and be able to track shipments without leaving the Gmail app.

If we receive an email from Gmail, with a specific structure (for example, from Amazon), when we open it we can see a summary with everything related to the purchase, and a link from which to track it, as long as it is included. in the mail. Now, Google has wanted to go a step further to facilitate the control and monitoring of all the purchases we make online.

When we receive a purchase confirmation email, Gmail will automatically move it to the top of the inbox so we can always see it. Also, if we open it, we can automatically see a card that will allow us to track the order and know where it arrives at any time.

For now, this novelty will only show us the tracking in the emails that include it and allow Gmail to interpret the information. However, Google is working on other new features related to this function that will come later, such as the possibility of know when an order has been delayed and show us a notice in Gmail to let us know.

First in the United States, then in Spain

As usual with the news from the big software developers, this novelty will be available first in the United States, from where they will be able to test it very soon. However, Google has confirmed that it will not be an exclusive feature there, but rather it will also reach other countries, including Spain. What we don’t know is when she will. And it probably won’t arrive in time for this upcoming Christmas shopping spree.

Since not everyone likes Google to process their emails, this feature is going to be optional. We can activate and deactivate it at any time from the Gmail configuration itself, to use it only when we are interested.
