Yesterday the last episode of the mini series secret invasion and with this we were able to close this new plot arc that Disney+ has opened within the UCM. Secret Invasion, one more story for the UCM
The effort of Disney and Marvel to fill us with titles related to the Marvel Cinematic Universe resulted in the premiere a month and a half ago of secret invasion (secret invasion in English): Inside that the public feels somewhat saturated with so much spin-offthe truth is that the proposal, one of the most serious of what we have seen so far, has been entertaining and feels an important preceding for the future of the UCM.
And it is that while other titles feel that they have not contributed “so much”, here we have a war unleashed by right between humans and skrullsafter the president of the United States has publicly announced that this species has been declared an enemy and that it must be exterminated, something that we will undoubtedly see in future productions.

The last episodes have also served to close other plot arcs (the death of Gravik, the end of an incipient war against the Russians…) and even to raise doubts like the Rhodes impersonation. And it is that as they indicate in the episode -and no, here nothing is coincidence-, the avenger has been “for a long time” in stand by after his impersonation by a Skrull.
But how long are we talking about?
Rhodes would be a skrull from Civil War
What seemed like a much more banal fact has ended up becoming the topic of conversation around the world after the closure of the Disney + miniseries. We refer to the rhodes spoofing (aka Rhodey), who seems to have been asleep much longer than the rest of the people while a skrull replaced him.
Such a script line makes this clear by helping him out of the dome he was unconscious in, indicating to do so carefully as it has been there much longer than the rest. But how long is that?
Well, according to a more than likely theory, almost a decade. This is deduced by the clothes he wears rhodey at the scene, a hospital gown, indicating that when he was impersonated that was what he was wearing. To find Rhodes admitted to a hospital, you have to go to Captain America: Civil War, when a spinal injury left him unable to walk. That would also explain why they hold him up between two people, in a clear sign that he can’t walk by himself.
Kevin Feige himself confessed in a recent interview that he liked the idea of fans “going back and seeing some of Rhodey’s other appearances and realizing that that wasn’t him”, thus also confirming that his replacement comes from afar .
