Tragedy in Colombia: a 13-year-old boy stabbed in a school bathroom

The mother of a minor 13 years old denounced this November 2 that his daughter was attacked inside the bathrooms of the Colegio Distrital Isabel Segunda, headquarters A in the town of Kennedy, in Bogotá, Colombia.

According to the woman’s version, the girl was in the bathroom when another student from the institution allegedly attacked her with an object cutting stab and hurt her in one of her legs

Later, according to preliminary reports, a group of students found her bleeding and immediately loaned her the first aid.

“A 13-year-old boy who is in the seventh grade went to the girls’ bathroom, stabbed her with a knife and left as if nothing around the school,” said the mother of the attacked girl.

The girl’s relatives denounce that the school did not offer her any medical services, on the contrary, it was the same student body who helped her and seconds later she was channeled to the Red Cross.

Reaction of authorities

In the same way, they exhorted the Education secretary and the corresponding authorities investigate the facts and the institution’s protocols.

The Ministry of Education regretted the events saying that all public schools are working permanently to promote healthy coexistence.

“In the case of the Isabel II school, the management team of the institution activated all the protocols based on due process and the protection of the rights of the students involved,” they said in a statement.

On the other hand, the school authorities assured that they will be aware of the two students.
