Voxel reaches an agreement with Booking to automate tourist invoices

Agreement of great importance for the tourism sector. Voxel and Booking.com have teamed up to create Billback Requesta service of automatic invoice recovery in operations with corporate clients.

The product promoted by the company specialized in innovative technological solutions in B2B payments and the travel metasearch engine, provides an innovative, technological and unique solution in the market so that travel agencies and TMCs can obtain complete invoices automatically.

“Over the last three years we have collaborated with Booking.com to develop an innovative solution for travel agencies and TMCs. After successfully passing the pilot test, the solution has been validated and we are now ready to implement it for all B2B and corporate partners of Booking.com»explains Héctor Martín, Voxel’s vice president of global sales.

The pilot has been carried out between companies such as Hotelston and Easy Market and more than 26,000 accommodations in 112 different destinations.

How does the Billback Request work?

The Billback Request is a service capable of automating the recovery of invoices, as well as compensating or recovering VAT and avoid delays and errors in payments. Until now, this problem had never been solved, since none of the current solutions was capable of guaranteeing that the invoices met the legal requirements for VAT recovery.

«This solution is applicable to any tour operator or Travel Management Company that needs to recover hotel invoices, either directly or through Booking.com, another agency or any other reservation channel»Martin explains. “With this solution we have the possibility of solving a classic challenge that the sector has been facing for 30 years, especially in the Business Travel segment, in the management of corporate expense notes and the recovery of international VAT.”

Recently, Voxel has strengthened its value proposition for the international VAT recovery in the business travel segment by partnering with Israeli company Way2Vat, one of the world’s leading providers of automated VAT claim and refund solutions.

Voxel will integrate the international VAT recovery capacity in the Way2Vat platform and will complement the current offer of payment solutions between companies and electronic invoicing in the Business Travel sector.
