HP Sure Access Enterprise strengthens data protection

HP has launched Sure Access Enterprise, a security solution which represents a important improvement at the level of «endpoints», and that focuses on the protection of data and systems that may contain important information, preventing attackers from accessing the connections used when working with confidential data and information.

As explained by HP, even if the “endpoint” device is compromised, the attackers will not be able to access sensitive data and information, and these will stay safe. In this way a security breach would be stopped and a possible disaster would be avoided, but how is it possible? Let’s find out.

HP Sure Access Enterprise leverages HP’s unique task isolation technology to run each privileged access session within your own virtual machine (VM) which, in addition, is reinforced by hardware. This ensures the confidentiality and integrity of the data accessed, isolating them from any malware in the endpoint’s operating system. This allows users to perform confidential, non-confidential and personal activities securely from the same computer, further helping to improve the user experience, reduce IT overhead and improve overall protection.

HP has confirmed that Sure Access Enterprise is now available, featuring:

  • Strong integrations with privileged access management solutions (PAM) (for example, CyberArk or BeyondTrust), IPSec remote access tunnels, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Centralized management to enable separation of duties and flexible policy options, such as blocking connections to specific PCs or users, or requiring HP Sure View to be enabled for privacy.
  • Hhardware to ensure confidence, backed by the latest Intel technologies to prevent malware from bypassing security controls.
  • Record of sessions encrypted and proof of modifications to track access, without logging sensitive data or credentials, facilitating regulatory compliance.

Ian Pratt, Global Director of Security for Personal Systems at HP, commented:

Gaining access to a user’s device with access to sensitive data and systems is a crucial point in the chain of attack. From here, an attacker can extract credentials, scale, move, and leak sensitive data. Sure Access Enterprise is a unique solution that prevents that from happening by blocking attackers.”
