Apple faced an almost epic task: adapting the vast and complex history of Foundation Asimov’s to the small screen. Many of us feared that nothing decent would come out of such a project, however, the content platform surprised with an interesting, solid first season with great special effects.
It is true that it was not what some expected in terms of fidelity to the history -the great creative liberties that have been taken have been criticized a lot-, but we cannot detract from the streaming platform for having achieved a well-assembled, visually attractive series that at least has enough of the essence of the books of Foundation.
