More powerful than the Steam Deck
The specifications of this ROG Ally will not leave anyone indifferent. For starters, your home screen 7 inches with 1080p resolution will have a soft drink 120 Hz and 500 nits of brightnesssomething that significantly surpasses the Steam Deck with the resolution of 800p at 60 Hz and 400 nits.
As for the processor, ASUS and AMD have worked together to bring to life a custom processor that they say will be based on RDNA3, so once again it would be more powerful than the Steam Deck. With Windows 11 as the official operating system, the device apparently includes a fingerprint reader that could be used to log in with multiple accounts, which will allow several different libraries to be available so that multiple users can use the same console.
How much will it cost?
But if there is something that will make Valve tremble, it is the price of the ROG Ally. Rumors around the console are beginning to shape the price, and they say that it could have a very similar price, if not the same, as the Steam Deck. Of course, the available models would be 512GB and 1TB of storage, so the lowest price would be $649being $899 for the version with the largest capacity.
This is something that is not yet confirmed, and that will not be verified until ASUS makes an official statement on the matter in the coming weeks, at which time the brand is expected to make an official presentation of its device.
