Crysis 4 finally announced, it will bring your PC to its knees again

Crysis 4 was announced by Crytek. This new episode of the saga was unveiled via a cryptic teaser. No title image yet but one thing is for sure, this should be a tech demo.

Crysis

The fourth installment of Crysis has been announced! A few minutes after leaking on Chinese social networks, the Crytek studio lifted the veil on this new title. No images or even promises regarding graphics, just a 47 second teaser with the mention “join the adventure, become the hero”.

This teaser shows a very stylized sequence that evokes buildings in ruins. As a reminder, the second and third installments took place in New York, first attacked by aliens, then completely devastated. It would not be surprising if this episode 4 brings us back into the big apple.

Crysis 4, the game that will bring your PC to its knees?

Crytek has always made a specialty of releasing FPSs that are certainly classic, but which have the particularity of betting everything on the graphics in order to show the capabilities of the Cry Engine. This was the case with the first Far Cry in 2004, then with Crysis in 2007. Crysis 2 was released in 2011 and Crysis 3 in 2013. So it’s been 9 years we are waiting for a sequel. Let’s bet that this new title will bring our PCs to their knees.

Crysis already returned to the limelight last year with a remastered version of the trilogy. The games had known visual facelift and were finally playable in modern conditions. A way to get players back in the game before the release of this fourth episode.

As a reminder, Crysis puts you in the shoes of a super soldier with a suit that adapts to all situations. This is a corridor FPS which is certainly not the most original in terms of its game system, but which is effective. The first Crysis in 2007 was simply a visual slap and only the most powerful PCs of the time could run it. We should have new information on this new component shortly.
