Galaxy S23 Ultra: full specs, design, and everything else we know

The Galaxy S23 Ultra will be the “jewel in the crown” within the new generation of smartphones that Samsung plans to present on February 1. This terminal will maintain the line and design of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, and we can also wait for the same quality of finisheswhich means that the most important changes that this model will introduce will be present hardware level.

It is important that you keep in mind that the Galaxy S23 Ultra has not yet been officially presented, and that therefore all the information we have comes from unofficial sources. However, these sources have a certain reputation, and we have filtered the information to keep only the one that really has a high level of credibility. This also means that we do not expect major changes in everything that we are going to tell you, especially considering that we are less than two weeks away from the presentation of this terminal.

Galaxy S23 Ultra on the outside: Note legacy and premium finish

Galaxy S23 Ultra

The Galaxy S23 Ultra will maintain, as we have said, the design of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which means that we will meet again with a sharply angled line and some pointed corners that will clearly differentiate it from the rest of the Galaxy S23 family, whose design will be more rounded. It is no coincidence, that design is the inheritance that the “Ultra” model received from the extinct Galaxy Note series.

On the back it will repeat a configuration of four cameras arranged horizontally and fully integrated into the chassis, and on the front we will have an all-screen finish and a camera integrated into a floating island that will be located in the center. This year we will not see the jump to a front camera integrated into the screen either, so we have to keep waiting.

Regarding the quality of materials, we know that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will use a aluminum chassis, and that it will have a sheet of glass Gorilla Glass Victus 2 in the back and one in the front. This material has a high resistance to falls and scratches, and Samsung will again include protection against dust and water necessary to achieve IP68 certification, which means that this terminal will resist immersion in fresh water for 30 minutes at a maximum depth of 1.5 meters.

How could one expect the S-Pen will make an appearance again. This stylus will have a latency of only 2.8 milliseconds, will connect via Bluetooth and will offer a very interesting set of functions for professionals. It will come included, and it will be integrated into a slot inside the terminal itself to facilitate its transport and prevent us from losing it easily.

Galaxy S23 Ultra specs: A remarkable update

We have already told you that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will bring interesting changes at the hardware level. We should not expect a revolution, but enough news to justify the generational leap. In this sense, the most important improvements will be on the new SoC and on the main camera.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra will use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, a chip that is much more powerful than the Exynos 2200 present in the Galaxy S22 Ultra, and will use a 200 MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor in its main camera, a clear evolution compared to the 108 MP sensor mounted on the Galaxy S22 Ultra. We do not expect changes in the configuration of RAM memory, nor in the storage capacity.

So that you have a more complete image of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, and so that you can compare them with those of the current model, I want to share with you a complete list of its specifications:

We already know that Samsung will present the Galaxy S23 Ultra on February 1, and that this event could also serve as the setting for the announcement of the Galaxy S22 FE, but we are not yet clear when said terminal will be available, and its sale price has not been revealed either. , so both are still up in the air.

Still, I can share with you a fairly reliable estimate. I think that the most probable thing is that the Galaxy S23 Ultra, and the rest of the models, will be available from the same day, February 1, at most a few days later, and that Samsung will try to keep the price of said terminal at the level of the current model. to stimulate demand. If this is confirmed, the price of the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be around 1,259 euros.

We cannot rule out that there is a rise in the price of said terminal, but in the event that this occurs I don’t think it will be too markedand it seems unlikely that Samsung will be willing to exceed 1,300 euros with the base configuration of 8 GB and 128 GB of storage capacity.
