Accenture acquires the Spanish cybersecurity company Innotec Security

Accenture has confirmed the purchase of the Spanish company Innotec Security, specialized in cybersecurity as a service, cyber resilience and risk management. The operation represents the expansion of the consultancy’s capabilities in Spain, in addition to reinforcing its presence in the country. It is unknown how much Accenture has paid for the company, which until now was owned by the Entelgy Group.

Innotec Security was founded in 2002, has its headquarters in Madrid and offices in Barcelona, ​​Seville and the Basque Country. It currently has 500 professionals on its staff who will join the 20,000 workers in the security division of the consulting firm, Accenture Security. His incorporation into the group allows Accenture to advance in the managed security services sector in Spain. It also allows it to provide its clients with a greater range and possibilities of cybersecurity services and products.

With this operation, Accenture Security has made 19 purchases since 2015. Among them is the purchase of Symantec’s cybersecurity services division at the beginning of 2020, which made it one of the main providers of managed cybersecurity services at the global level. global. In Europe, after this purchase, Accenture was further strengthened with the acquisition of Sentor and Openminded in 2021, and in Latin America with those of Mnemo México, Morphus and Real Protect.

Among Innotec Security’s specialties is the provision of different security services. Among them cyber defense, threat simulation, incident detection and response and management, cyber intelligence, infrastructure and application security, cyber risk assessment and security consulting. Among its clients are the main companies in sectors such as financial services, energy, logistics, health, transport or the public sector, which operate in Spain.
