Accenture will invest 3,000 million dollars in its area of ​​​​data and AI

Accenture has announced that it will make a significant investment of 3,000 million dollars (2,775 million euros) that will be distributed over the next three years, in order to promote and develop the data and AI area. With this large allocation, the company wants to achieve further growth, efficiency and resilience.

As a result of such investment, the group through its president and CEO, Julie Sweet, has reported on its enormous desire to grow in this area. Sweet also indicated that “companies that build a strong AI foundation by adopting and scaling it now will be better positioned when the technology is mature and offers clear value. At that point they will be able to reinvent themselves, compete and reach new levels of performance.”

The investments to be made

The multinational throughout its last ten years has experienced a breakthrough in AI, achieving more than 1,450 patents and pending patent applications worldwide, offering solutions ranging from marketing to retail, security or manufacturing.

Accenture introduced its Responsible AI framework six years ago, and it has been part of the way it delivers work to clients ever since, always with a code of ethics and a rigorous Responsible AI compliance program.

Now Accenture will investments in assets, sector solutions, acquisitions, talent, companies and alliances with the ecosystem, which will develop new skills and capabilities in diagnostic, predictive and generative AI. The objective of the multinational is to double the talent in artificial intelligence in the areas of Data and AI over these three years and reach the figure of 80,000 professionals. For this fact, the company will carry out hiring, training activities and acquisitions.

Also with the new AI Navigator for Enterprise platform, based on generative AI, will help clients define business cases, make decisions, navigate AI journeys, choose architectures and understand algorithms and models that drive value responsibly. The platform will include assets designed to accelerate responsible AI practices and compliance programs.

Likewise Accenture will create accelerators for data preparation and AI in 19 different sectors, as well as pre-built industrial and functional models that will take advantage of the new generative capabilities of AI. With the Advanced AI Center, the value of this technology will be maximized for customers and for the company itself.

Finally, the company will also invest in new relationships and existing ones on its industry-leading data, cloud and AI ecosystems to reinvent the kind of work delivered to clients. In this case, developers using pre-built models to improve prototyping, or creators creating dynamic virtual environments that can adapt to changes in the real world.
