If Me Chaudri has been promoting his new gadget for a little over a year already, no one has yet had the opportunity to try it, or even see it, and for good reason: his invention based on the artificial intelligence holds in a case that is almost invisible.

Me Chaudhri demonstrates this smartphone without a screen during a TED Talk. The device in question will not mark the spirits by its design: the tiny accessory integrates a camera, a speaker and a projector. This last component allows essential information to be displayed on the palm of the hand or on any other surface while making people forget the very existence of the device. As its inventor points out, the size of electronic gadgets has decreased with the increase in their computing power, but the use of a screen is an obstacle to spontaneity.

Human’s device uses AI and goes completely screen-free

During his demonstration, the inventor calls his wife through the accessory attached to his shirt, or orders her to translate their words in near real time with just one touch. Humane’s AI, like the one now present in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, is able to consult his calendars, notes and emails, and give him an audio summary. For Humane, AI and conversational chatbots will change our relationship with technology thanks to a only gesture and voice interface.

According to Chaudhri, the more we take advantage of machine learning on a daily basis, the more useful and accurate Humane’s technology will be. In his own words, ” your AI will become an ever more evolved form of personal memory. The technology of the future won’t fit in your hand, or be worn on your head, it might even be completely invisible.”
