Nostalgia is on the rise among electric car manufacturers. While Renault intends to ensure the sustainability of its range by resuscitating the R5 and the 4L with new watted editions, it is the turn Alfa Romeo to bring one of its legends back to life: the 33 Stradale.

This mythical model, presented at the great Turin Motor Show in 1967, has long been considered one of the most beautiful cars in the world. With this reissue, the Italian brand wants both pay homage to its prestigious past and give a taste of its electric future. For good reason and like many manufacturers, Alfa Romeo aims to become 100% electric by 2027.

The 33 Stradale, a luxury supercar to shape the future of Alfa Romeo

Since the takeover of the brand at Biscione by Jean-Philippe Imparato in 2021, the manufacturer has gradually transformed into a luxury brand, and this 33 Stradale will not thwart this new identity. The 33 Stradale is presented as a two-seater couple resting on an H-frame aluminum chassis with a carbon monocoque.

Described as “a manifesto of necessary beauty”, this 33 Stradale displays an extremely elegant design which consists in particular of a sinuous round front end and a V-shaped bonnet, slender side lines inhabited by scissor doors, while the rear expresses the “brutal essence” of the car with this V-shaped design and rounded taillights.

33 copies and that’s it

For Alfa Romeo, this car was designed to be unique. Which probably explains why the 33 Stradale was produced in only… 33 copies as its name suggests. If you are interested and have a budget of more than €230,000 (the price remains top secret, but should exceed that of the Maserati MC20, the technical cousin of the Stradale), you will be disappointed since all copies have already been sold.

Available in thermal engine (with a 620 hp V6), we will obviously be interested here in the electric version of the 33 Stradale. According to Alfa Romeo, this model will offer exceptional performance:

  • 800 V electric motor
  • Power of 750 horsepower
  • 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds
  • Maximum speed: 310 km/h
  • Weight: approx. 2100 kg
  • Battery capacity: 102 kWh including 90 useful
  • Autonomy: about 450 km

With the new 33 Stradale, we wanted to create something that lives up to our past, serves the brand and makes Alfisti fans proud. Such a result could only be achieved thanks to the expertise, hard work and passion of our team, with the support of a management that clearly has the ambition to help write the chapters of the future. of the brand, in full respect of its unique history. This is the brand’s first futuristic (custom-built) car since 1969, and I promise it won’t be the last.“, promised the brand. We are curious to see Alfa Romeo’s future electrical projects, hoping that they will be more accessible.
