We already know that Hayden Christensen, the actor who played Anakin in the prequel trilogy of Star Wars, will reprise his role as Darth Vader in Lucasfilm’s upcoming live-action series from Obi-Wan Kenobi. Now, however, we discover that Christensen will also return in another Star Wars live action series, that of Ashoka.
Hayden Christensen again as Darth Vader in the Ashoka series
According to what was reported by the The Hollywood Reporter, in the series we will see Anakin Skywalker (aka Darth Vader) and Ashoka come face to face again somehow!
For the uninitiated, Ashoka was in fact Anakin’s padawan and, with the story set five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, Vader could be present in some flashback sequences or could even present himself as a Phantom of the Force, given the events of the sixth chapter of the film saga.
What we do know for sure is that Rosario Dawson will return as Ahsoka Tano and, as revealed in The Mandalorian, Ashoka will be on the hunt for Grand Admiral Thrawn.
Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau are both writing and executive producing the series, with production set to begin in early 2022.
