The last weekend of May is celebrated in Madrid the first edition of the Field Festival, with which it is expected to bring the countryside closer to the city with an unbeatable commitment to leisure, gastronomy, traditions and customs of the towns. The festival will bet on producers, ranchers, farmers and all services related to the field, in a space as special as the Hipódromo de la Zarzuela.
In a natural outdoor environment, this festival has more than 200 exhibitors of top-quality products and services, from all the autonomous communities of our country. All of them will bring together a wide range of activities, such as: herding, archery, dog shows or children’s workshops, in addition to having 20 hours of live musical performances. on May 26, 27 and 28.
Families, couples and friends will find themselves involved in a comprehensive leisure experience, where they can immerse themselves in a full day in the countryside and be surprised among the trees and the meadows, walking, for example, around a flock of sheep, a pair of oxen or horses.

For those who wish to take advantage of the sunlight, they can enjoy activities such as: log cutting, hug therapy with Doñana burritos, driving an electric 4×4 or survival with Maikol Garcia, founder of the school of nature Aboriginal, or with Pablo el Hortelano, among many others. In order to relax and have a more peaceful moment, the exhibitions of rehalas or great mastiffs, -essential in the field and grazing-, the art gallery and current conferences will be ideal to learn about nature while enjoying a good glass of wine.
On the other hand, the tapas route and the rural show cooking They will whet the appetite of the most foodies and lovers of gastronomy with tasty dishes made with zero kilometer products, produced in natural environments by producers who with their daily work contribute to the maintenance and improvement of biodiversity. Garden products will be very present, along with the cameone of the protagonists of several tastings of the Festival de Campo by professional oenologists.
And of course, children are always the soul of any party and they cannot be absent from this event. For this reason, the organizers have designed activities such as the farm School, where you can get to know the animals up close and learn how the most rural sector works, or the cooking workshops and the driving circuit.
