Bose adds a handy feature to the QuietComfort 45: an equalizer. It is available via a headset software update.
A worthy successor to the QC35 and QC35 II, the QuietComfort 45 stands out as a benchmark for active noise reduction headphones. As often with Bose, however, it arrived on the market without an equalizer; a rather curious choice for headphones. The manufacturer is now rectifying the situation with the arrival of an equalizer to personalize the sound experience. The new feature is available through a software update, which has just started rolling out worldwide.
The 3-band equalizer is classic by offering the possibility of adjusting the levels of bass, midrange and treble. Bose also offers various presets to help the user find the sound that suits him. On the other hand, we note that the settings are rather basic and the most demanding users may find the proposal a little too basic.
Nevertheless, the arrival of a new feature is always good news. To access the feature, simply update the QC45’s firmware by opening Bose Music. From this application, you can press “Install update” and follow the process to switch to the latest version.
