Regularly, the former entrepreneur does not hesitate to take a position on Twitter to give his opinion on current events.
The businessman does not mince his words concerning in particular NFTs and cryptocurrencies, qualifying that they are based “on the theory of the biggest fool” and that they are worth nothing. On this Wednesday, July 13, 2022, Bill Gates did not pour out on Bitcoin or other digital currencies, but rather about the current state of the world and the direction it will take.

“Several major global setbacks in recent years have discouraged many who wonder if the world is destined to get worse,” he writes in the preamble on the social network. He mentions in particular the pandemic and the war in Ukrainewhich he describes as “gigantic tragedy for the whole world”, without forgetting the damage caused by global warming.
Bill Gates also mentions the case of the United States, which has just made a “huge step backwards for gender equality and women’s health”, in reference to the ban on abortion established in several states.

Despite everything, the billionaire says to himself “optimistic” and ensures that it is possible to mitigate the damage.
