Since the end of 2022, there are many ChatGPT tools that allow us to generate texts of all kinds based on a description, platforms that we can use to create weekly menus for a vegan diet, activities to do on a 3-day trip to Memphis, solve any type of doubt that we have on a certain topic without having to waste time using Google and even create complete documents, one of the utilities that many users and professionals are giving to this tool.
However, these tools have some patterns that are easy to detect as long as we have a basic understanding of grammar, and on many occasions, they always repeat the same terms as if they were a 10-year-old child. However, as the months go by and ChatGPT evolves, these initial errors are polished, being more difficult to detect if it really is a text written by an Artificial Intelligence or by a person.
Whether we use this tool and we don’t want them to know it or if, on the contrary, we are the people who review the work of students or professionals and we don’t want a goal slipping through our squad, we can use any of the different tools available to detect if the texts have been developed by an AI or have come entirely from the head of a person.
Chat GPT Detector
10 days after the launch of ChatGPT, this project was released available on GitHub, a project focused on creating open source models to efficiently detect the content generated by this Open IA tool. The website where this code is available is available at this link, where we must copy the text that raises suspicions and click on the Predict button.
The web will analyze the text and will tell us the probability that the text was generated by an AI. If the result is close to 1, it means that ChatGPT has had a lot to do with it, while if the result is 0 or close to 0, it means that the author’s head has all the credit.

Another interesting tool that we have at our disposal to detect if it is a text written by an Artificial Intelligence or a person, is Writer. The operation of this website is as simple as pasting the text in the available box (with a maximum of 1,500 characters) or entering the URL where the document is located. This last option is ideal for analyzing long texts. When clicking on Analyze textin the right column, will show us if the text is AI-based or homegrown.
Open AI
The creator of ChatGPT also puts at our disposal a tool to detect which texts have been created using an AI greater than 1,000 characters. Like ChatGTP, it is necessary to register to be able to use this tool, a tool available through this link. Once we have entered the text that we want to analyze, we click on the Submit button and wait for the platform to inform us if there is a possibility that the text has been written by an AI.
GPTZero
GPTZero is a tool that analyzes the text that we copy into the text box with a maximum of 5,000 characters or from a file that we upload. Once the text has been analyzed, it will underline in yellow the areas of the text suspected of having been written by an AI. If we want to analyze texts longer than 5,000 characters, we will have to checkout.
