Carlos Cantú, ex Twitter EMEA, new CMO of Freepik Company

The Spanish technology company, specialized in offering high-quality visual content, has appointed Carlos Cantu, former Twitter EMEA executive, as Chief Marketing Officer.

Cantú, with more than 20 years of experience in marketing and advertising, will lead a team of 45 professionals to increase brand awareness and commercial expansion of Freepik Company products. in strategic markets such as the United States and Latin America. This will be achieved by creating strong and relevant brands for different audiences, ensuring brand consistency across the board, and optimizing performance to bolster revenue.

Before joining Freepik Company, Cantú worked at Twitter, first as Director of Marketing for EMEA and, before that, as Head of Brand Strategy for Latin America. He began his career in the Mexican advertising industry where for more than 15 years he developed traditional, digital, experiential and shopper marketing projects for brands such as Samsung, Coca-Cola, Ford, Greenpeace, Gatorade or Unilever, among many others.
