Dynabook presents the new Tecra A40-K and A50-K

The firm Dynabook, which as many of our readers will know is Toshiba’s “heir” in the laptop sector, has presented two new computers, the Dynabook Tecra A40-K and the Tecra A50-K. Both have the same objective, to offer a high level of performance, security and productivity and to optimally cover the new needs arising from hybrid work environments.

Externally, both teams have a high quality construction, have a sober and elegant design that allows them to fit into any workspace and have the MIL-STD-810H certification for military-grade resistance, which means that they are prepared to survive even in adverse conditions. This translates into a high degree of reliability, but we must not forget that these devices also come with a layer of antibacterial coating which will protect users from 99% of bacteria.

When it comes to hardware, Dynabook has used state-of-the-art components in the Tecra A40-K and A50-K. The first has a 14-inch screen, which means that it prioritizes mobility and is lighter (weighs 1.49 kilograms), while the second has a 15-inch screen, which means that it offers extra comfort during intense work days. Both will be available in touchscreen versions.

The brain of the Dynabook Tecra A40-K and A50-K are the new Intel Core Gen12 Processors, based on the Alder Lake architecture in its 28-watt version. Both models can be configured with up to a Core i7, 32 GB of dual-channel DDR4 3,200 MHz memory and a high-performance SSD based on the PCIE Gen4 interface, whose storage capacity will be 1 TB.

Both models are equipped with a TPM 2.0 chip, which offers advanced security features and meets the requirements of Windows 11 Pro. They also have enterprise-grade encryption and biometric authentication through the Fingerprint reader and Windows Hello facial recognition. To improve user privacy, Dynabook has also included a webcam shutter, and has opted for Intel active management technology, which allows easy management of the device remotely.

Artificial intelligence is also an important part of the new Dynabook Tecra A40-K and A50-K. Both devices feature dual microphones perfect for using Cortana, and are equipped with a new AI-powered noise reduction feature. Its HD camera offers, as we said, facial recognition and also uses AI to offer better image quality. This, coupled with its DTS-compatible speakers, ensures a seamless experience in video calls.

According to Dynabook, we can expect a range of up to 10.4 hours. If we need to recharge the battery we won’t have anything to worry about, since thanks to the fast recharging technology we can obtain up to 40% battery with only 30 minutes of charging. Connectivity won’t be a problem either, as this new generation of ultralight laptops comes with Thunderbolt 4 ports and supports Wi-Fi 6X and Bluetooth 5.2 standards. They will be available at the end of April.
