Realized by Production IG (Ghost in the Shell, Psycho-Pass, Patlabor The Movie) the anime series will debut in October in Japan (as reported by ANN) with a first season consisting of 12 episodes.

Fena: Pirate Princess is an original anime series that tells the story of a young orphan, Fena Houtman.

Fena grew up on an island where there is no other hope than to become a servant in brothels frequented by soldiers of the British Empire. But Fena is more than an ordinary, powerless and humble orphan: when her mysterious past comes back to life, the girl will break the chains of her oppressors and flee the island.

Now his goal is to forge his new identity, free from bondage and look for a place where he can truly belong and discover the true mysteries behind something whose name is “Eden”.

It’s the story of a lifelong adventure that she and her crew of misfits and unlikely allies will have as they reach a goal of freedom and self-determination!
