MediaTek unveiled its new high-end Dimensity 9000 chip last month. It is the first processor in the world engraved in 4 nm, and it promises to compete with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that Qualcomm introduced earlier this month. Oppo had officially revealed on social networks that he was counting use Qualcomm’s SoC in its top-of-the-range smartphone of 2022, the Find X4 Pro, of which we already know the technical sheet. However, the manufacturer will also use MediaTek’s chip in another model.

Indeed, in evoking a future device of the Find X range, Henry Duan, vice-president of Oppo, confirmed in a press release thatone model will use the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip well. According to him, it is a ” high-end device that brings together so many cutting-edge features in one device and we know users will be in awe of its breakthrough performance and exceptional energy efficiency “.

MediaTek’s processor would be reserved for the Find X4 in the Chinese market

Last year, Oppo introduced its Find X3 Pro with a Snapdragon 888 chip in Europe, but also released a classic Find X3 with a Snapdragon 870 SoC in China. It is therefore possible that the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 is reserved for the Find X4 of the Chinese market.

The chip would have nothing to envy the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, since it promises to be even more powerful than that of Qualcomm. Indeed, the SoC offers identical cores, but these offer a slightly higher frequency. It is also known that the Snapdragon Gen 1 is manufactured by Samsung with 4nm 4LPX engraving, while the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 is manufactured by TSMC with a more advanced 4nm 4LPE engraving. It promises in particular to be a little less energy consuming and to better manage overheating.

Several other manufacturers will also be using the Mediatek Dimensity 9000 chip in their smartphones. Indeed, as we can see in the tweet below, Xiaomi has also confirmed the presence of the processor in its Redmi K50 smartphones, and Vivo in one of its next high-end smartphones.
