Of the future RTX 40 family GPUs, there seems to be a consensus that one of the most expected is the GeForce RTX 4050, that is, the one that would mark the entry point to this new generation. NVIDIA has not said anything about it, but more and more voices suggest that its announcement and arrival on the market will take place sometime in the middle of next year. Of course, as long as the cancellation (we understand that it is temporary and pending a name change) of the RTX 4080 12GB that we learned just a few hours ago does not affect the calendar of future releases, something that remains to be seen.
One of the main arguments put forward by those who argue that it will still take a long time to see the lower models (with many, many quotes) of RTX 40, is the voluminous stock that, today, both manufacturers and distributors of the previous generation, RTX 30, would haveand that it must find an outlet in the market before its peers of the new generation reach it, since otherwise its value could decrease substantially, something that would be difficult to fit into the accounts of all the parties involved (except in those of the users, of course, who are undoubtedly the ones who would win).
Thus, and unless there are leaks in this regard, it will still take time to know about the “smallest” of the RTX 40. And yet, and although it has not been seen in the Enermax list, another manufacturer has told us has confirmed its existence, and that somehow is already working on it. And it is that, as we can read in WccfTech, the manufacturer GALAX showed a box of its GeForce RTX 4050 during a presentation event and launch of its first RTX 40 graphics.
The epicenter of the event was an own edition of the GeForce RTX 4090 SG, although for the event the manufacturer carried more materials related to this new generation. The interesting thing is that (perhaps we will never know if accidentally or intentionally), among it, a box of the future RTX 4050 was snuck in, which was captured by at least one photograph that has been made public.
Unfortunately, the angle of the image and the resolution of the image prevent us from extracting data from it, because we can imagine that some text related to its specifications will be indicated on it, as well as an image that allows us to know its design. However, and since this image has been leaked, it is possible that more photographs were taken and that these could also be leaked to, in this way, get closer to a card that, given the prices of RTX 40, but also its formidable technological leap, make it the one that, for many, will be the gateway to this new generation… as long as the price is right, of course.
