Unveiled just a few days ago, the Galaxy S22s are a blazing success. While not all models have arrived in stores yet, Samsung already has over a million pre-orders. However, thehe new flagship disappoints in several domains. These include 45W charging, yet one of the major selling points of the Ultra model, which doesn’t do much better than 25W charging. And this is not the only defect that can be found on the smartphone.

Indeed, for the second consecutive year, the Korean manufacturer has decided to deprive your smartphone of MicroSD port. The Galaxy S21s were the first to pave the way, and it seems that the firm wants to continue in this direction. It is therefore better not to make a mistake when choosing your model, at the risk of ending up with too little storage space. Fortunately, Samsung already offers a solution to this problem.

Samsung launches a USB-C key to compensate for the lack of MicroSD port of the Galaxy S22

This solution takes the form ofa USB-C key, whose storage capacity varies from 64 to 256 GB. It is therefore possible to double the storage space of your smartphone, but also of any other device with a USB-C port, such as a computer or tablet. Of course, this option is less practical and discreet than an SD cardwhich you just have to place inside the phone to take advantage of extra space.

Here, the idea is above all to transfer large and unnecessary files to the key in order to free up space on the smartphone. Not really ideal, but it’s still better than nothing. However, the USB key has several advantages, the first being that of writing speed: 400 Mbps for the most efficient models. A 4 GB file can thus be transferred within 11 secondswhich is much faster than a traditional microSD card.
