Game Awards 2022: Diablo 4, Final Fantasy 16, Street Fighter 6, here are the best trailers of the evening

The Game Awards are always an opportunity for studios and publishers to unveil their best trailers for upcoming games, and last night’s ceremony was no exception. Between big names like Diablo 4 and future indie nuggets like Earthblade, players have plenty to eat for the next few months. We have selected for you the best announcements of the evening, those that you should not miss!

Like every year, the players gathered last night in front of the Game Awards, the great mass of video games. Unsurprisingly, of course, Elden Ring won the award for best game of the year, while God of War: Ragnarök took the majority of the remaining awards. We note all the same the refreshing presence of the French Stray who wins the prize for the best independent game.

But the Games Awards aren’t just an award ceremony. These are also and above all the opportunity to discover many trailers and preview announcements of the most anticipated games of the moment. Diablo IV

We start strong with what is undoubtedly the best trailer of the evening. Diablo 4 is clearly one of the most anticipated games of 2023 and Blizzard has decided to go all out to raise the hype even further. Bet succeeded, with this particularly dark trailer. Attention, not to show to the youngest.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Another big name in the 2023 season video game, Star Wars Jedi Survivor has this time unveiled some gameplay. Although we expected a little more from the game itself, this new trailer has something to reassure the most skeptical. See you next March 15.

Final Fantasy XVI

The Game Awards did not leave out JRPG fans, who certainly did not miss the biggest announcement of the evening for this segment: the release date of Final Fantasy 16. This will take place on June 22, 2023, and comes with a nice trailer to wait better.

Lots of RPGs in this selection at the moment, but what about fighting games? Again, it is a pillar of the genre that showed up at the Game Awards, namely Street Fighter 6. The new opus of the cult license will indeed be released on June 2, 2023, as rumors had predicted.

Baldur’s Gate 3

PC gamers are eagerly awaiting it, and that’s the least we can. The 3rd opus of the most cult CRPG saga in the history of video games has once again shown the tip of its nose at the Game Awards, with the addition of a release window: August 2023. The wait will be long.

What would a Game Awards ceremony be without an appearance by Hideo Kojima? The latter nevertheless managed to surprise us by announcing a sequel to his latest game, Death Stranding. This one offers itself once again a casting 5 stars with the return of Norman Reedus and Léa Seydoux.

Hades 2

Another huge (and excellent) surprise: one of the best games of 2020 will also be entitled to a second opus. Hades 2 will this time follow the adventures of Melinoë, the sister of Zagreus. Like its predecessor, the game will be available in early access during 2023.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores

Haven’t had enough of Horizon: Forbidden West? That’s good, Guerrilla Games has concocted a nice extension for you which will be released during the month of April. We will see the Hollywood sign which visibly held the shock of the apocalypse.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

Horizon will not be the only one to have a DLC, since CD Projekt RED has finally unveiled the first images of Phantom Liberty, the extension of Cyberpunk 2077. With a surprise in the key: Idris Elba in the cast!

Returnal on PC

It’s been rumored for months, it’s now official. The excellent Returnal will join the list of PlayStation exclusives to be entitled to a PC port. If you haven’t had the opportunity to get your hands on it, we can only advise you to jump on it. Guaranteed sensations.

Judas

We were waiting for Ken Levine, one of the creators of the cult Bioshock, to finally show us his next project. This is now done with Judas, the first title from Ghost Story Games. For now, the gameplay seems quite similar to that of Bioshock, while the emphasis seems to be on storytelling again.

Earthblade

Earthblade is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated indie games of the coming months, as it’s the new title from Extremely OK Games, the studio behind the awesome Celeste. This time, exit the platformer is place to fights in a universe filled with magic.

Armored Cores 6 – Fires of Rubicon

If you’ve never heard of Armored Cores, you certainly know at least the name of its developer: From Software. Before becoming world famous with Dark Souls and winning the prize for best game of the year with Elden Ring, Hidetaka Miyazaki’s studio cut its teeth with this shooting license, which will therefore return with a sixth episode in 2023.
