The first commitment that GlobalFoundries will have to fulfill will involve a payment of 17.3 million dollars, which will increase progressively as the stages of the agreement progress. In addition to the manufacturing and supply of chips, the contract also encompasses other activities and orders for the Department of Defense. This way, among other things, you will have access to the GlobalFoundries design ecosystem and its intellectual property libraries. As expected, neither the company nor the Department of Defense have offered details about the process technologies that will be used in the creation of the chips, although components for these sectors are usually manufactured using already mature and advanced technologies and production nodes. proven reliability.
