In China they have invented the remote kiss, and yes, it is very disgusting

Digital kiss, connected lips

Technology is allowing human beings to advance in many aspects, however, there are others in which we are not too sure if the direction we are taking is the right one. And there is no better example than this device that allows you to maintain personal relationships at a distance. Well, at least give a kiss. Or so say its creators.

Feel a kiss from thousands of miles away

Videoconferences allow us to see a person located on the other side of the world with ease, however, something that technology has not been able to achieve so far is that we can also feel or touch them. Well, that is what students from the University of China are trying to solve with their peculiar device, connected mechanized lips that would allow them to send a kiss over the Internet.

The idea is that by kissing these silicone lips, its sensors and motors detect the way in which you kissed, and send that information through the official application to another person’s lips in another part of the world. In this way, the movements that you applied on the lips will be replicated on the silicone lips of the other person. Yes, it sounds exactly as you are imagining.

From lips to lips, details such as the movement and pressure applied to them, as well as the temperature, will be transmitted.

Invented by a crazy lover

Digital kiss, connected lips

Jiang Zhongli is the creator of the product, and as he told the Global Times, he had the idea after being away from his girlfriend for a long time because each one was in different universities. That was where the inspiration came to him, and after creating the product, he did not hesitate to patent it.

In addition, Zhongli boasts that his product takes care of monogamous relationships, since only one lip pair can be paired, and at all times both users must give consent for the two devices to be linked.

Who invented it before?

Although the story of our protagonist is worthy of any revolutionary invention, the truth is that 6 years ago a similar device already appeared, and with a very, very similar design, although without motorized lips. The idea was exactly the same, a membrane with sensors that replicated the movements in another remote device. The only difference is that the mold was flat, and did not have the shape of lips.

A bestseller

Yes, these lips exist, and they are for sale. In China they are sold for about 260 yuan, which is about 35 eurosand according to Bussines Insider, about 100 units are sold per month, which taking into account the fetish touch of the product, is not so bad.
