ISPs are going to have to block these 50 pirate sites, here is the complete list

French justice is stepping up its fight against the illegal viewing and downloading of films/series on the web. In France, more than 50 pirate sites may soon be blocked by the main Internet service providers.

Almost a month ago, Arcom announced an agreement with French ISPs (Orange, Bouygues Telecom, SFR and Free) and sports rights holders to fight against illegal downloading and in particular IPTV subscriptions. This time, the main Internet access providers have been asked by the French courts to block more than 50 pirate sites following a decision of the Paris court, according to the media The Informed.

Among the fifty pirate sites, some hosted, for example, 31,895 films or 3,146 series. Given the thousands of illegal content available on pirate sites, they were becoming very popular thanks to the massive influx of Internet users. Moreover, the ALPA (the association for the fight against audiovisual piracy) listed 2.8 million unique French visitors during a period of 30 days. As an indication, JustStream.org and HDStream brought together nearly 880,000 unique visitors between them.

In order to fight against the illegal viewing and downloading of films/series on the Internet, the Paris Court of Justice has given ISPs 18 months to block the pirate sites in question and the hosting platforms.

What pirate sites should ISPs block?

In the list revealed by the investigation site, there is a host of more or less well-known domain names such as Voir-films, Filmstreaming or Wow-films, but also content hosting platforms. Here is all 53 pirate sites that ISPs must block.
