League of Legends: Update 12.8 summary

MSI 2022 is getting closer and closer and thus League of Legends has just been updated to the patch in which the championship will be played. To tweak the game’s meta a little more, Riot Games decided to make a slightly bigger update with the right to even a partial rework on a champion.

Next, check out what were the main changes in League of Legends in patch 12.8!

Champion buffs, nerfs, and tweaks

For this League of Legends patch, Riot nerfed two champions that were a little off the curve, but the buffs and tweaks really come into the spotlight. First, check out the buffs:

  • Bard – passive scales more and heals increased;
  • Ezreal – ult cooldown decreases with level;
  • Fiddlesticks – increased W healing against champions;
  • Jhin – W root lasts longer and traps (E) recharge faster;
  • Kassadin – Q has a bigger magic shield and E has increased damage;
  • Mordekaiser – Passive movement speed increases at levels 6 and 11;
  • Poppy – W cooldown decreased and ult changes;
  • Sejuani – passive’s cooldown starts to decrease according to level;
  • Sylas – lowered ultimate cooldown;
  • Tristana – attack damage now scales more;
  • Vel’Koz – increased Q and W damage;
  • Vladimir – more armor;
  • Xerath – E stun duration increased;
  • Zoe – Q mana cost and ult decreased.

Now, here’s the list of nerfs:

  • Jinx – Decreased base health;
  • Soraka – W healing reduced;
  • Xayah – reduced “Q” blade damage to encourage less “Lethality” build.

Swain, on the other hand, underwent an adjustment in all of his abilities. Overall, the main change is to the passive, which will no longer pull immobilized enemies, increased Q and Ult damage, which can continue to be cast as long as the champion builds up stacks.

Changes to items and runes

For this patch, League of Legends has only changed the Timer, meaning the runes have not undergone any changes. The Stopwatch can now no longer be purchased if you already have the “Guardian Angel” or the “Zonia Hourglass”.

Skins and Chromas

League of Legends update 12.8 arrives with 8 skins. Check out the gallery:

Each skin released in the patch also comes with its own chroma, with the exception of the prestigious Senna skin. Check it out:
