Lenovo YogaBook 9i 13, a very interesting convertible due to its double screen

The YogaBook 9i 13 will be one of the new models that Lenovo will present next week at the Las Vegas show. Evan Blass has shared some filtered images and they show us a device whose greatest novelty is its double screen.

This type of product is not new and we have seen some before of devices with folding screens gaining ground in offering innovative form factors. Lenovo has some on the market like the spectacular ThinkPad X1 Fold and great experience in convertibles with the Yoga series that practically ‘invented’ the segment.

Uniting these concepts, the YogaBook 9i 13 has been developed that users who are looking for something different will like. From what we see in the images, it is a convertible with two identical 13-inch multi-touch screens diagonal, joined by hinges that can be bent 360 degrees. Above one of the screens is a webcam with IR support for facial recognition compatible with Windows Hello. It also has a holder for stylus pens.

The image you see on the front cover shows the computer folded in the center and propped up for desktop uses like a laptop, with a lower screen used as an input device or display.

Another image shows the displays unfolded with the YogaBook 9i propped up on a stand to use it as a two-display computer side by side in portrait orientation.

The last image shows another of the typical uses of a convertible, a tent format for presentations with the two screens folded out so that one is in front of the user and the other can be viewed by a third party. You also see a bluetooth keyboard as an input peripheral for users who prefer hard keys to screen typing.

And of course tablet use (very chubby by the way), turning the hinges all the way:

The type of panel used in the displays and their values such as native resolution or brightness are not known. Neither is the internal hardware used, although Lenoco often uses the last name ‘i’ when using Intel processors and it may be one of the new models with which Raptor Lake Mobile. Next week we will tell you. This YogaBook 9i 13 looks very good, innovative among so many similar designs and an alternative in new form factors to the use of flexible screens that always have their compromises.
