Microsoft and Telefónica offer unified communication solutions for companies

Microsoft and Telefonicawho have been collaborating since 2019 in different strategic areas, have announced the development of a proposal of unified communication solutions for companies. Thus, they have created several specific solutions for SMEs and large companies (known as large accounts), which have among their objectives to achieve the evolution of voice technologies, through their integration in a cloud environment in which both the communications as collaborative applications.

The solutions proposed by Telefónica and Microsoft offer companies, regardless of their size and activity, new capacities and more scalability so that they can digitize both their communications and the collaboration applications they use.

This offer is made up of two solution packages: Centrex 365 and Fusion Digital 365. The first is designed for large and medium-sized companies, and offers telephony and unified communications in the cloud. These are presented to the user in an integrated way, and offer a high level of security. It has the delegated administration and support of Telefónica. This solution complements the existing offer, Voice 365, aimed at large companies that have high customization needs.

As for the other novelty in terms of solutions for companies, Digital Fusion 365, is specifically designed for SMEs. Bring together the highlights and services of Fusion Digital with Microsoft Teams Phone and Teams Essential. Thus, the workers of this type of company can count on a single solution to cover their connectivity needs. Both in fixed post, with switchboard service and collaboration, as well as mobile post and security.

All the services offered in these solutions have been deployed around Microsoft Teams Phone, a voice platform with which the workers of the companies that hire them can connect and talk from any point and device.

In this way, each user will have on their computers, as long as they have an Internet connection, the functions of a telephone, such as call forwarding or voice mail. But also functions that are usually found in an advanced telephone switchboard. Among them, access to an automatic attendant, or consultation and generation of call reports.

Telefónica’s mission, with a view to implementing this offer, has been the development of various voice solutions supported by its next-generation network, and whose purpose is to connect the switchboard with the public telephone network. In this way, a layer with various additional functions to the conventional ones is added to the voice solutions.

Among them is a private numbering plan, as well as hybrid and international scenarios. They will also have various professional services, such as migration support, delegated administration or end-to-end care. The latter will be possible thanks to the incorporation of the Smart Workplace service.

In short, the main objective of the solutions offered by both companies is to facilitate the transformation of business communications to be able to use them in new work environments. All without having to face a heavy investment, guaranteeing the best possible experience for your employees.
