Microsoft will allow more visible Teams chats

Microsoft has responded to users who have been asking for improvements to Teams chat density that are visible on a single screen, an issue that has been a bit complicated and has generated discontent. The response from the Redmond company has not been long in coming, as it is working on a compact chat list that could resolve the concerns of these users.

According to what we have been able to see in the Microsoft 365 roadmap, those of Redmond are preparing for add “chat density” setting in Teams, both in its web and desktop versions, and this will be the one that will allow you to activate this compact list display mode of the chats. Interesting, but how do you plan to compact the chats so that they are visible?

The answer that Neowin leaves us is very easy to understand, apparently simply message preview will be hidden so that we can have more space dedicated to displaying a greater number of chats. This function may not be liked by everyone, because in the end the preview of messages in chats also has its uses, but since it will be a function that can be activated and deactivated at will, it will not represent a major problem.

We do not yet have an exact release date for this new feature, but it is said that could arrive in june and it will be available as we have said for those two versions of Microsoft Teams. The date is not final, so it could change, both for the better (a little earlier) and for the worse (significantly later).

This function would be useful, above all, for those users who have to work with a large number of chats on a daily basisand that they prefer to have them all in view even if this implies sacrificing the preview of messages, as we have already commented when describing this new adjustment.
