TikTok streaming will be exclusive for people over 18 years old

Until now, those over the age of 16 had permission to create this type of content. However, after the latest controversies that have arisen -among which is that of refugee children from Syria who asked for money directly from the social network (for later the company kept a large part of the proceeds), the users of the platform They will only be able to start a TikTok Live if they are of legal age.These changes will take effect from next Wednesday November 23.
TikTok will also premiere direct for adults
The previous point limits when creating content, but not when the user is going to consume it. Those under 18 will be able to view the direct ones. However, TikTok has another ace up its sleeve. They will also be added to the network Adults-only broadcasts.
But beware, because that does not mean that the rules of the social network are going to change. This adult-only content does not imply that there will be nudity, violence or anything that goes against the rules of TikTok. The idea is segment the content so that minors do not waste time between direct shows that are not going to attract their attention, and that, therefore, they are not going to watch.

TikTok has been preparing this jump for months
This new implementation comes a few months after TikTok said it wanted to start classify the content for teens, youth and adults.
TikTok has previously posted that it was developing a system to identify and restrict certain types of content from being accessed by teens, and that it would start asking creators to specify when their content is more appropriate for an adult audience.
