According to the rumor circulating on social networks, the Motorola Moto Razr 2022 should soon land on our European shores. It is also said that it will be sold for the plump sum of 1200 €. No one knows if it will be in its basic version, or with all the options. One thing is certain, it is that it is already creating controversy.
Since this summer, rumors about the arrival of the Razr 3 2022 in Europe have been getting more and more insistent. Even if Motorola-Lenovo has not made anything official yet, we already know that this foldable smartphone will be destined to be part of the gratin of mobile phones. Roland Quandt, a specialist whose predictions are most often correct, announces that the price of the Razr 3 should reach or even exceed 1200 €.

At this price, the Motorola-Lenovo baby plays in the same court as what some consider to be the new king of Android smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra or an iPhone 14 Pro (which starts at 1329 € for 128 GB of storage). Even if these 1200 € must correspond to the best equipped version of the device (SnapDragon 8 Gen 1+ processor, 512 GB storage), and besides the fact that it is foldable, does the Razr 2022 have arguments to put forward in the face of competition that is considered to be the crème de la crème in terms of mobile telephony? On Twitter, the opinions are very clear, and not in favor of the Chinese manufacturer. All Internet users are indeed announcing that the Razr 2022 is going to be a bitter failure on the Old Continent.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Razr 2022 have identical processors and prices
The Razr 3 is not currently only available in China, but its launch in the rest of the world has been announced since August. The Moto Razr 3 sports a dual camera module on the back and despite looking slimmer, Lenovo claims to have reinforced its hinge for better durability. The device will unfortunately not be powered by a SnapDragon 8 Gen 2 but, like the Galaxy Z Fold 4, by the SnapDragon 8 Plus Gen 1.
Its screen will consist of a P-OLED panel with a 6.7 inch diagonal with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The back of the Razr 3 features a 2.7-inch P-OLED display, which can be used in a variety of ways: to read the time, notifications and other messages, or even as a viewfinder for the rear camera. The selfie camera has a definition of 32 Mpx, while there is a wide-angle at 13 Mpx and an optical 50 Mpx above the small screen. All in all valid equipment, but when you exceed the psychological bar of 1000 €, the equipment is not everything. And at this level, only a proper test of the Razr 2022 will tell us if it deserves to be compared to its real competitor, the still attractive Samsung Galaxy Flip Z 4.
