Mythic Quest: The Apple TV + series renewed for a third and fourth season

Apple TV + announced today the renewal for the third and fourth season from Mythic Quest, the hit series from creators Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz, which was hailed by critics as “hilarious and captivating” and “the best workplace comedy seen on TV.”

McElhenney, who also stars, shared the news in his signature comic style, in a video alongside fellow Apple TV + and Emmy Award winner Jason Sudeikis (“Ted Lasso”), and Oscar winner Sir Anthony. Hopkins, who recently earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Best Storyteller for his guest starring role on the “Mythic Quest” special episode “Everlight.”

Mythic Quest follows the adventures of the team of developers of the greatest online RPG of all time. In addition to McElhenney, who plays the fictional company’s creative director, Ian Grimm, the cast includes Oscar winner F. Murray Abraham, Danny Pudi, Imani Hakim, Charlotte Nicdao, Ashly Burch, Jessie Ennis and David Hornsby, who are also executive producers.

They are joined by Naomi Ekperigin, Caitlin McGee, Humphrey Ker, Chris Naoki Lee and Jonathan Wiggs. The series is produced for Apple TV + by Lionsgate, 3 Arts Entertainment and Ubisoft Film & Television.

The series was conceived and produced by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz. Executive producers also include Michael Rotenberg and Nicholas Frenkel on behalf of 3Arts, Jason Altman, Danielle Kreinik and GĂ©rard Guillemot for Ubisoft Film & Television and David Hornsby.

Work on the third season will begin later this year.
