Ordering fresh fish at home is now possible, thanks to Uber Eats and FEDEPESCA

Uber Eats and FEDEPESCAthe National Federation of traditional fishmongers, have reached an agreement for home delivery of the fresh products offered by these establishments, through their delivery platform in Spain.

The agreement is part of a project to digitize traditional fishmongers led by the federation, which represents more than 7,000 associates in Spain. It is possible thanks to the technology of Hermeneus World, a company specialized in the digital transformation of small businesses. The project, called The Artisanal Fishmongeris an exclusive marketplace for traditional fishmongers.

As the first phase of the launch and hand in hand with ADEPESCA, the provincial association of fishmongers of the Community of Madrid, fresh products from Madrid fishmongers El Cantil Fish Market, La Estrella Fish and Seafood, Francisco Abad Fish Market and Gómez Fish Market are now available in the Uber Eats app. Over the next few months, the other fishmongers associated with FEDEPESCA will also join the platform, being able to scale the project to other Spanish cities.

As an innovative element in the purchase of fresh produce at home, Users will be able to indicate through the application how they want the fishmonger to prepare their products, choosing, for example, the different types of cut (sliced, descaled, boneless or gutted) so that the digital shopping experience is as similar as possible to the one that would take place in the physical establishment.

Users subscribed to Uber One also can benefit from free shipping costs when they buy products from traditional fishmongers in Madrid.
