The remake of Resident Evil 4 presents itself as an excellent reissue of the cult 2005 game. Despite everything, the absence of certain elements earned it an outpouring of hatred and review bombing from the most extreme fans.
The remake of Resident Evil 4, Capcom’s mythical title released in 2005 on GameCube, has landed on our consoles and PC since March 24, 2023. It should be noted that the very violent attacks against Lily Gao have pushed the actress to delete a large majority of her Instagram profile. A distressing observation, when it is the first interpreter of Asian origin to embody Ada in the original version of a Resident Evil game.

The community defends the actress from Ada
On networks, many hateful comments violently criticize his performance, yet faithful to the character (namely, a bit sarcastic, haughty and sure of herself). “You ruined the remake”, “your dubbing is so bad I feel like I wasted my money”, here is a sample of the sweet words published against the actress.

After achieving an astonishing 4.5/10 on Metacritic thanks to the evil haters campaign, Resident Evil 4 user score now shows an acceptable rating (7/10) thanks to player and community support.
