The series follows the adventures of high school student Minami, who has just started playing golf, and her friends Haruka and Ayaka.

Sorairo Utility is directed by Kengo Saitō (animation director for Kiznaiver, Little Witch Academia, SSSS.Dynazenon) at the studios of Yostar Pictures, who revealed that, finally, he was given the chance to make the anime he always intended to do.

Founded in 2020, the Yostar Pictures animation studio is run by Arc, a Tokyo-based company that participated in the production of the anime feature film Promise. The studio is producing an animated television series based on the Arknights smartphone game, after having also taken care of the animations for the series. Azur Lane: Slow Ahead!
