The next Marvel movie by Daniel Espinosa, Morbius, seems to be one of the most interesting (if not at least “particular”) projects of the last period for the world of cinecomics and, now, the director seems to have let slip the presence of a new cameo.
The trailers released on the net up to now had in fact already revealed that the film will be linked to Marvel’s Spider-Man films since Michael Keaton, whose character was first introduced in Spider-Man: Homecoming, will reprise his role as Vulture.
Now, the director seems to have now pulled a new rabbit out of the hat, because it looks like another Marvel character will appear in the film.
Revealed a new cameo of a Marvel character in Morbius?
Here’s what he said in a recent interview with Swedish magazine Moviezine:
“Before the shooting day starts, you feel weird. You look at the agenda and you find yourself on the set alone “, has explained. “When you’re on set, the shoot is in effect like a Swedish production, but then you look at the agenda and read the names of Michael Keaton, Jared Leto, Tom Hardy… and it all gets a lot more exciting.”
With his mention of Tom Hardy in the production schedule, it’s easy to assume that Venom will also appear in the film as well. We have no idea how big his role will be in the film or how exactly Venom’s character will fit into the story, but all of our questions will be answered when Morbius hits theaters on January 21, 2022.

The film, based on the character who first appeared in Marvel comics in 1971, will be part of the cinematic universe in which Venom recently appeared. The script for the film has already been written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless (Power Rangers, Dracula: Untold).
Set in the universe of Marvel characters in the hands of the Sony Pictures, the new film by director Daniel Espinosa (Safe House, Life) sees scientist Michael Morbius (Leto) transform into a living vampire after exploiting experimental science to cure a blood disease. However, when he attempts to curb his new and overwhelming bloodlust by preying on criminals, Morbius’s vampiric abilities will make him a target for relentless FBI agents Alberto Rodriguez (Al Madrigal) and Simon Stroud (Tyrese Gibson).
The horror action movie tells the story of a scientist who, in an attempt to find a cure for a rare blood disease, accidentally transforms himself into a living vampire who, despite being disgusted by his own bloodlust, chooses to fight the criminals who deems unworthy to live.
