Star Wars and video games finally reconcile with Outlaws

As we tell you, in the past decade the most we could put in our mouths was a Star Wars battlefront renovated that was very beautiful and spectacular, but designed exclusively for the multiplayer. We had to wait until the end of 2019 to finally the singleplayer appear on the scene with all their narrative powerthanks to Respawn Entertainment’s work with Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order.

That was the starting signal for a generation of projects inspired by the universe created by George Lucas and which is already bearing fruit: Star Wars Jedi Survivor, the highly anticipated Star Wars Eclipse from Quantic Dream and of course this Star Wars Outlaws which carries the concept of open worldof sandboxat a level that few of us would have dreamed of just a while ago.

The galaxy of smugglers

Someone has rightly said that with Star Wars Outlaws we are facing a title that could well have been starring Han Solo because it gives every impression of being located within that underworld of creatures that basically live off crime. Bounty hunter at the service of an Empire that is at its peak and a protagonist who has to make her way in any way, fighting against an oppressive shadow that rules the Galaxy.

It was yesterday, thanks to Ubisoft Forward, that We were able to check how a game that will arrive in 2024 is going (no date) and that looks very, very good. After all, there is no better company to recreate an open world than the French, where they are real experts thanks to franchises like The Division, Assassin’s Creed, Ghost Recon and of course Far Cry. So with what this Outlaws have a small portion of what is seen in any of those others, we are satisfied.

Kay is the protagonist of the story, along with a creature called Nix, who will lend a hand at some moments in the game thanks to the ability to go unnoticed in the eyes of enemies. He gameplay revealed yesterday gives a good account of all that rosary of opportunitiess that he puts in our hands and that not only go through stealth, but also through melee combat, exploring a huge map and solving puzzles.

Travel across the galaxy

The game will be open world and that includes taking Kay’s ship and going into space to explore other systems and settle in them, either to advance the story or to look for other missions and assignmentsin such a way that it seems that we are facing a game that, to complete, we are going to need countless hours.

You only have to look at what Ubisoft has accustomed us with the latest Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, etc. to get an idea of huge potential of this Star Wars Outlaws. The development that could ingratiate starwareros with videogames in a definitive way. As we have rarely experienced over the last 30 years. Don’t you think?
